However. Being a girl and all you get a bit tired of staring at all the male NCPs. You know… even guys would think they all look hideous and in their 50ies.
So, back to new game I went to lannify the game. And I do believe I managed to turn Mr Dark Elf into a fine young lad!
So, It’s totally doable. It just took… time. (and someone please ’shoot’ whoever that came up with the beard values).

Here’s a little Before and After. (I used the base face because the first time I created this face I sat for a good time before finally finish the creation…only to notice he looked proper BAD skin wise. Some smart ass put a really YELLOW light at the char creation. So he had a nice big yellow light in his face, not to mention the saturation of Whatever other light there was. And then there’s the beard sliders messing up everything…)

Let’s call him Link. Because I love Link In D.Gray-Man.

Lately I have been a bit down. Not like, you know, "WOAH world is ending!"-down, but just feeling a little under the weather.
So, when a friend of mine offered me a free copy of Little Big Planet I  thought amongst the lines of "Well, it DOES look promising!"

(Once in a blue moon, things like this happened; Me actually writing about actual GAMES.)

Looking back at it, it’s rather silly. For starters I didn’t expect as much as I should have had. Which is actually very good! The game has blown me away starting with the introduction movie!

Little Big Planet is one of those feel good games. One of those CREATIVE and ORIGINAL games that everyone always say they want to make but never really do. Sure, we’ve had games alike this before, and at times I feel like I’m jumping about playing SMB or running around fetching rings in Sonic. But there’s no Sonic or Mario here. It’s just you (and your friends) . And however you want to make your little person-thingy look.

Another thing I love with this game is the music. It’s just plain awesome and adds so much to the gaming experience (thou  apparently they’re delaying LBP because the theme song was made by a Muslim musician and he snuck in words from the Koran "Every soul shall have the taste of death" "All that is on earth will perish").

The only problems I’ve encountered so far has been controller issues. My toon (designed as a Mog I think, He has a shining star thing on his head wobbling as he walks) runs around like a rabid dog at points and the slides are sometimes juuust a little too out of control. Actually, it might be a down side but it makes me feel as if I’m telling him where to go and he gets there in his own manner.

The game is full of rewards in forms of stickers, materials, new outfits and other crafty stuff… and with the stuff you collect you can build your very own little world… and even hook up in it with friends online! Go quest together! You can also join in on other’s shared worlds online.

And what do we know by collecting and Lannies? This species is delighted by having everything. Many hours will be spent… and I believe they’ll be spent well.

Knowing how much I love good old PSO (I still play it offline on GC!) I know this is something I WILL be buying and spending loads of time on.
Playing FF Crisis Core amazed me on how good the graphics actually are for the PSP (since I ‘grew’ up with the Nintendo DS first) and I can say this is prolly better graphs than my current computer *sigh*. That beeing said, I love games with the offline feeling of an MMO.

Another game that I am STRONGLY looking forward to is the Ragnarok Online game Gravity is devoloping for the DS~! For that I found some screenshots taken from gamekyo.com! Enjoy <3

6 hours later, game time,  I concluded to myself that day 1 of Crisis Core was over for now. For Today.

Before I get onto the real stuff I have to say I love the battle system. Even thou it was a little confusing at the training mode I quickly got used to it. I belive if this was FF11, my Zack would be a THF/PLD. I keep doing SATA (sneak attack trick attack) and then  occasionally cast Cure on myself. Oh, didn’t get that heavy stuff? Basiacly, I keep dodge rolling behind them critters and crit them in that back. How great is that! I love dodge rolls! *rolls all over the place* And it’s fun getting to actually move around with a meaning to avoid attacks and what not. No heat seeking attacks here, no!

Let’s have a look at my overall judgement of Crisis Core so far. These are 5 the things that has struck me so far.

Every time you enter a fight, a lady will tell you so. This lady doesn’t change her voice either. Same thing. EVERY TIME. I mean c’mon, am I really going to have to listen to this EVERY time I get into a fight? Is this some kind of anti-grinding anti-lanni technique they’re trying out? To make me want to play the game less? Maybe since I don’t pay to play per day?
But I shall prevail!
Eventually after you beat all the targets you were fighting… this will happend:

Unlike FF12, were you just sic your characters at mobs in the same area ’screen’ , in CC you actually enter the battle, still on the screen thou. And after each battle Zack will “freeze” upon the screen TRICKING my brain that it’s still part of the “Yay you won!”-animation. I wonder how long it’ll take for my brain to calculate the last animation and start thinking about running with him again.

Now. Here’s the amazing stuff about CC so far. Lanni Mode.

Maps! Glorious maps! Of where to run and where in the area you CAN run. So far I’ve run around in caves, a desert, some kind of cargo hall,  some slums and a ‘huge’ field. Well, it was rather tiny to be precise. Oh and a tiny bit of a tropical island. Of course, I haven’t gone to any of these areas at all in story mode.
Wait… Story?

Yes I belive there’s a story somewhere. I think I left it inside the Shin-ra building. The moment I entered Sector 8 I found a save point. And it said “New Mission added.”. And that’s that… I am stuck, in Lanni paradise! And the best part is that after every mission…

Overall, from today’s 6 hours playing I can happily say I’ve seen enough Cloud faces on my slotbar (even thou they’re blackened so far) to have my Cloud-needs satisfied. I guess I should get on with the story, because I am really eager to do so, but the missions are juicy so far. However it’s a bit of a rinse and repeat situation after a while. I guess that’s where the story comes in handy.
It’s totally FF7 universe satisfying and I allready love the game, the upgrade/lvling system and all there’s too it. I mean lvling is based on “chance”!
If you played FF: CC with the PSP sound only I would def reccomend you to just plug in your computer’s speaker system. It’s so much of a change for the better. Well, except that gawdawful woman…

Tomorrow’s a new day!

Had the heart in my throat playing thru the last part again. 6 (actually 7 but one is a bit of a hoax) bosses and no savepoints. Not to mention having to walk all the way to the first boss and then there beeing iffy normal monsters everywhere.
Used this little party, Ingus always making 9999 damage with his warrior Advance. Luneth was just a meatshield to keep down damage, Refia threw pewpew shuriken for 7000-9999 dmg and Arc was the little healbot. This setup worked like a charm thru all the bosses but damn was I nervous I’d have to redo everything another 2 hours+ again.
Glad to get it done finally. Last time I visited the last-last boss (in the dark world) she still managed to KO my entire party with one hit. And I just gave up swearing. I missed out one some ‘hidden’ bosses but at the end of the day I just wanted this finished. Since you got to save after the boss was down I might get to play it again? Cheers!

Oh my! Yet another game to look forward to. I am not going to complain but I wonder how much Squeenix is going to milk their cows?
