Art Comission – Nudelsoppa1.

February 26, 2008 in Art

art_.pngMy First REAL and PAID for art comission ever! =D So happy.
The happy owner is http://nudelsoppa.se and I am posting this with the owner’s premission.
I’m doing another theme related pic for the same guy and hopefully a couple of more of them later on =).
Thankfully, he wanted game/anime characters and I came up with the idea of them eating ramen. Nudelsoppa means ramen in swedish. Thanks so much for the comissions!

Sun and Moon.

February 9, 2008 in Art

art_.pngFor an art assigment at school. I choosed Art Nouveau/Jugend because I have never done anything like it before and I’ve seen lots of lovely pics of it.
I wanted to do two twin posters, apperantly twin art was common in Art Nouveau. The poster idea came because Posters were a common thing to make. Adds for chocolate and wine and what not. I wanted the pictures to be a bit revolting. I wanted to do a commerical poster that felt art nouveau, Me, and new. Hence the phone came into the picture. I wanted the phone to stand out. So I gave it more proper highlighting and shadows and details than the rest.
The phone btw is modeled after a N82 Nokia. I’m partly finnish, and a Transformers freak. My Surname starts on N and 82 is my lucky number. How fitting n82 is one of their newest cellphones! While painting the phone I ‘removed’ some feautures so it’s slightly a n82 but not really.

The Posters, Sun and Moon, are because the sun and moon rarely meet eachother since one comes during night and one during daytime. So now they can keep in contact, how fitting 8D. I also got a bit inspired by some tarot cards after I had drawn the two of them.
I first colored the sun and then used the negative colors of the sun for the moon. If You put the two posters next to eachother the middle will for a sort of tree. I printed both as a3 on a nice yellowed paper with a bit of texture to add the old poster feel.
The hair, ofc was the most fun part. I love painting ‘crazy’ hair!
Drawn, scanned and colored on the computers. Art Nouveau = New Art. How fitting is it not to be revoloting and finish it on the computer? Perhaps people forget jugend wasn’t very approved when it got out either. Now we love it. Funny, isn’t it?

Teckna Manga!

February 5, 2008 in Art

I printed out 1 copy of the ‘How to draw Manga’ papers at school yestreday. I must say they came out great! I feel so proud for making this myself instead of copyright-stealing somone elses’ work. The 1st group (that’s right, I got two 8D!) stars on this Thursday.

Grimlock, Transcolor and rampage out!

January 20, 2008 in Art

Done and done!
After collecting all the materials I needed, I decided this weekend was an perfect opportunity to finally get this little show on the road. The original ‘paint’ job was anything but exciting…
I had bought some metalizer spray paint that I’ve been wanting to use on my Leaderclass Optimus Prime, but I figured ‘practicing’ on Grimmy here would be a good start. I had tried the paint on some plastic toy parts before hand and it didn’t really impress me… so using it on Grimmy was a bit of a gamble. I’m too impatient to wait for better results 8D
I started on Friday to take all parts apart and carefully photograph everything so that I wouldn’t get WTF momets when I put him togheter. After that I carfully washed him, while wearing rubber gloves to not get any greasy fingers on his frail body. I washed away that icky oily look he had. Kids can’t def use this toy outdoors, that paint came off like it was nothing.
I let him dry over night.
On sat the painting took part. Much painting and much rubbing. Was very exciting 8D. I decided to show mah artisticness (yea right) and added some ‘extra details’. More like filling in paint on lazy areas etc etc.
And on Sunday I began the process of re-assemble him. Much swearing was done, I know My patient is amazingly thick-as-chocolate when it comes to my models/toys/ whatever. Those arm joints where driving me insane. Also I needed to remove a screw that had become unscrewable (sucky quility ftl) and find a replacement, which I did and it fit perfectly. A little too perfect, the others looks way to shiny compared to this new paintjob.
Added a bit more paint at certain areas, and took pics. My cam decided to run out of battery, and when it does, you really need to wait for 5h to have it recharged =( I managed to get some OK pics during the process.

I’ll try get some fancy fancy pics laters 8D. Woopie. This is my first TF repaint btw. It really added an aftertaste.

07.21 and all is well.

December 31, 2007 in Art, Game related

It’s 07.21 and I got up at 7am to wait for a auction of the PS3 version of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transformers:_The_Game that to end. I somehow snapped it up at http://www.tradera.com. Ending at 07.47. ( the TF Movie had it’s world premiere 7.4.7..how goofy is that O_O)

To entertain myself from having had about 4 hours sleep (the cellphone waking me up at it’s usual time now that it is charging again, bloody hell I wasn’t even get up for this but I ended up thinking how cheap I could get that game), I uploaded the Lanni pic and the How to Draw guy (whom I’ve named Kai) to the main gallery on 2007. Happily I noticed I got 3 neat, full rows now (3×8). That’s a average of 2 drawings a month. Seeing how I made a 2007 newyears promise to draw more than I had in 2006 I must say I haven’t come off too shabby.

Here’s some fun stats taken from http://landale.deviantart.com :

Every 32.3 days she uploads a new deviation, and it’s usually on a Wednesday, with 8 (24%) of her deviations.
Her busiest month was June 2007 with 7 (21%) of her deviations.
The majority of her deviations are uploaded to the Manga/Anime gallery (14), while her favourite category was Digital Media > Drawings with 9 deviations.

 That’ll do.

Tic toc tic toc…
