For Rauha

Rauha Nurmela passed away the 6th of Feb.
This was my grandmother and also the one we were the closest to.

So in in between gluing books together, ripping CDs with anime songs for my drawing classes and coffeynating paper, I drew this saami spirit for her.

Konsthögskolornas Vårsalongen

After coming back from japan I had about 2 weeks to come up with an idea and make my contribution for the Jury based art exhibition that the museum in my town has for our art schools.
The theme was Borders, limits, that sort of thing.

I was happy to know that my artwork, Maetel Andromeda, was accepted!

It sounds nifty, doesn’t it? Truth be told, I guess it’s no big deal.

  The Vernisage was yesterday, Saturday.

I noticed the images got a bit grainy (I didn’t pay too much respect to the lightning and what not) so I can’t use this as a HQ image. I’ll try get a better picture, and edit out the wall and whatnot, this week.
