Recently I found This lovely lady on youtube. She’s made tons of really nicely done vocal arrangements for RPGs such as Final Fantasy.
Then this morning when I logged on Erik pointed out that…

Design project 2009

During January and early February we had designers weeks at school. The school has such weeks for everyone in year 2 every year. This year they decided that instead of designing an Object we would be designing an Character! Character designing that did not include drawing portraits of characters but to make an character that’s based on your very own opposites. I took this project very well.
They began by telling us that we are to create a scenery of a person that has vanished. And with this scenery we should tell of his past and character traits.

My work, which I call Reminiscence is based on the character Vendel Nyman and his life in a futuristic war torn Europe. I worked long to create a story that would not falter and the newspapers clippings on the walls are actually written by myself with actual happenings of the character. Since the scene it self had to be built on the actual exhibition ground, I was not totally sure of the outcome, but I can say it came out exactly as I had hoped.

What did I learn from this project:

That your hands smells terrible after you drenched them in Coffey all day making old paper.

Wow, Fanart and little miss Lannet.

I entered the WoW valentines day fanart competition and ever since 1st of Feb I’ve been anxious about the outcome.
However, I’ve about given up any hope there is on actually been one of the many winners. It’s a bit of a kick in my pride I suppose because the image I did I thought would fit perfectly and looking at last years winners; I had hope. But no words from the crew and constantly looking at my empty inbox is a nail biting experience.

I guess we’ll see how this years winners turns out.

Well, turns out they now have ANOTHER fanart competition in terms of anniversary. So after a little pondering this is a rough sketch I came up with. Silly, I know.

Lanni and her big ideas.

I got to admit sometimes I make horrible mistakes. This pic down here shows …one of these horrible mistakes. After staring at it many many times since November I realized: I DO NOT draw faces as shitty as this so how the hell did it turn out THAT bad? No one will ever know, but to make the rest of the art, and myself satisfied I took an hour today to change the face into my own style again. Curse me for trying out different styles.

Time for thinking.

Been really busy as of lately. One of the reasons is the design project we’re having at school. My room ended up as a workshop during this period. You probably wouldn’t have known this unless I say it myself: I hate untidy rooms. Today Dad gave me a lift to school with the materials and props and as soon as I got home It was cleaning time~

	This Friday when we went out to buy some stuff for my project, I ‘happened’ to go to Toys r Us to find this handsome chap for 170kr. He was set at the lovely discount of 50%! Totally worth it and I’ve been wanting him for quite some time =)
