Mumin – The Sunlit Earth.

July 10, 2007 in Art

There’s so Many songs that could describe this picture. I chose to name it after the Shadow of the Colossus song: The Sunlit Earth.

The image I had in mind was the typical meadows up here in the North. My childhood and youth summers at the countryside in Finland. Me and mum sitting at our old cottage listening to Bisaido Island from FFX, that has become our everlasting Summer Theme.
I guess I wanted to draw Summer. And how could I do it any better than drawing Snufkin/Snusmumriken playing his Harmonica!
A little Tribute to Tove Janson (a bit late, since she’s now long gone) and my mother (Still here! Thankfully). And Ofcourse to our mökki, which has become more of a summer memory these past years.
