Humanity.

lann_sad1.pngReading the newspaper about the american prisioncamp Guantánamo in the Middle-East. It really brings out point of views. Apperantly some lawyers (American ones. Since 2004) are trying to show that about 80% of the people sitting there are indeed innocent not even charged of any crime. Apperantly 80% are also SOLD to the americans by s.c. bountyhunters for about 4000bucks.While I’m not going to make this a long whine post again I’m just going to qoute the newspaper:

Is it human to keep people imprisioned for 5 years* without charging them of any crime?
Harris takes a chug of his coke bottle and sits back in the chair, answering with a question.

Is it human to to strike the World Trade Center with a airplane?

*the main subject in this story is a translator named Bishar al-Rawi. He’s been imprisioned for 5 years. He lived in UK for 20years and helped the brittish MI5 to converse. He knew a muslim priest that the americans suspected spread hate propoganda towards them. While going to Gambia in 2002 to start a nutoil factory with his brother, the CIA got him at the airport and took him to Guantánamo.

  • Guantánamo is one of the reasons Bush decided to allow C.I.A to use “enhanced” measures (torture) to extract information from prisoners. Which kinda links to this link:

Apparently american troops are now inspired by ‘24′ on how to treat prisoners. Considering that ‘24′ had 67 torture scenes during the first five seasons, it all sounds like some kind of sick joke. Life imitating art in the worst of ways. Not to put fuel on your fire or anything :)

  • I think it’s no doubt about what the US army are doing and it’s just sad. Almost as sad as the fact that no one seem to be doing anything about it.
